Review on Benefit They're Real

This mascara, today was a freebie that I got with Elle mag else I wouldn't usually review expensive Mascaras.

This is obviously smaller that ya standard mascara as it was a freebie but worked just as well. Currently priced at £19.50 for the proper size which is VERY pricey for a mascara. So if your looking for a cheap one then this isn't the one for you.

The brush on this mascara is plastics again. The end of the brush has little bristles on so you can get those hard to reach lashes. I liked the look of this brush as I'm a fan of plastic brushes. This one had little and slightly longer bristles.

I'm blogging from my mobile for this one so can't provide a picture of what my lashes look like without mascara as I don't have that pic of my phone anymore . But you can check this from my previous blog posts.

NO LASH INSETS OR FALSIES HAVE BEEN USED IN THE FOLLOWING IMAGES. HONESTY!! THE FOLLOWING PICTURES ARE THE RESULTS OF TH E MASCARA ONLY. NO FIBRE LASH HAS BEEN USED EITHER. These results may shock you!!

This provided AMAZING length from stroke one!! It separated the lashes and provided amazing definition. It curled the lashes without the use of eyelash curlers. Truly and amazing brush.

This was the result of using the mascara without the use of eyelash curlers. As you can see they are quite curled. Worked well on both the bottom and the top lashes. This mascara is truly amazing.

The photo below shows the results of the mascara and eye lash curlers. So slightly more curved up and noticeable. But personally if you didn't have eyelash curlers handy then I wouldn't worry about using them to much.

This mascara does everything that I want a mascara to do. If it wasn't so expensive then I would have to give it an overall score of 10/10 as I had to run in and tell the mother how amazing it was straight after applying!! But as the is expensive it will have to settle for a 9/10 as the only flaw in this mascara is the price.

Defiantly in my top five if not my top three of Mascaras. Love love love this.

Anyone else used this and have been amazed?? Like me then let me know.

If you haven't already go out and buy Elle mag to get this amazing freebie. It's £4.00 for the mag which gives you amazing fashion advice so totally worth it especially with this free gift!!!

Review Time...Rimmel Sexy Curves ...

Review Time...Rimmel Sexy Curves ...

Okay so the first review of a Rimmel mascara. I don't usually go for Rimmel as I have had bad experiences in the past with some of their products.

I was recommend this mascara by one of my readers as they have the waterproof one and suggested that it was good. I can not find this on the Boots or Superdrug website to provide a price however I purchased off ebay for around £4.00. I still believe this mascara to be available in high street shops however I could be wrong. I'd imagine it would be around £6.00 or £7.00.

So the brush is a plastic one on this one. It has like a knobbly effect.

Its quite a strange looking brush to be honest. Wasn't too sure how this one would work. However it provided amazing lashes instantly.

Okay so the usual me without any mascara on so you can see what my lashes are actually like.

NO LASH INSETS OR FALSIES HAVE BEEN USED IN THE FOLLOWING IMAGES. THE RESULTS SHOWN ARE THOSE OF THE MASCARA AND THE MASCARA ONLY. NO FIBRE LASH HAS BEEN USED EITHER.

This mascara was brilliant. One stroke and my lashes were instantly thick and lengthy.

It didn't clump my lashes together. It didn't work too well on my bottom lashes which was a bit of a let down. But gave an amazing look to my top lashes.

As you can see from the pictures the mascara gave amazing length. It didn't provide much curl / curves. I still had to use my eyelash curlers to obtain the above curl.

I no i don't appear to be writing much about this one but I believe the pictures speak for themselves. Great lengthy mascara.

So overall this mascara provides instant volume and length from one stroke of the brush. You can manipulate your lashes to separate from using the brush as it allows you to do this.
It doesn't clump your lashes together. It didn't stoke as well on the bottom lashes as it did on the top ones so that was a bit disappointing. This one is another one that takes a little time to dry so you have to be careful.

My my overall score would have to be a solid 7/10. It works from stroke one which is great. However as explained above there are a few flaws. Not sure I would want the waterproof one with it being as wet for as long as it is.

Anyone else used it and have a difference of opinion?
Let me know.

Review ... Miss Sporty Studio Lash ...

Review Miss Sporty - Studio Lash...

This is a nice cheap one. At just £2.99. Miss Sporty I believe has been designed and aimed a teens who may be just starting to discover make-up.
I have been informed that In fact Miss Sporty is made by the same manufactures as Rimmel.

The brush for this one is a plastic one again. However the bristles are longer on the one side compared to the other. I have attempted to show this is one of the pictures below.

Through looking at this brush my first thoughts were there are far to many bristles to get a good look but I was surprised.

Reminder of my lashes without mascara.

I HAVE NOT USED ANY LASH INSETS OR FALSIES IN THE FOLLOWING IMAGES.
I HAVE NOT USED ANY FIBRE LASH EITHER.

This mascara was very wet. I managed to get it all over my eyelid which was annoying. Through turning the brush to bring the longer bristles towards my eye when pulling up the brush it did provide length. My lashes immediately stuck together as the mascara was just so wet. It took me a very long time to separate my lashes to achieve a decent look. It worked well with the bottom lashes. Just don't blink to much else you would get it all over your face.

It made my lashes seem thicker but I think it was because they were all sticking together.

This mascara was a bit of a let down to be honest. But considering it is designed and made for teenagers it is good to some degree. For the price its brilliant and I would defiantly recommend to anyone aged 12-16. It would be a good one for discos. Probably not a good school day one as it would be noticeable. It was good on the bottom lashes but very wet.

So my overall score for this one is going to have to be a 4/10. It does provide length and as I have said many times works well on the bottom lashes. If the mascaras was a little less wet it would be brilliant as the brush design works perfect for improving lash length.

Let me know your thoughts ....

Review...Bourjois Paris Elastic

Review...Bourjois Paris Elastic...

Sorry for the lack of review yesterday however I had a very busy day and a Mascara free day.

Today I have a Bourjois Mascara One of my favourite brands of make-up.

Currently priced at around £7.99 however not currently showing on the Boots or Superdrug website, I know it is still available to buy in the stores.

This Mascara was my Favourite one when it first came out about 4 years ago and would still be in my top ten. It works well on its own and amazingly with fibre lash to.

The brush on this one is a plastic one and is quite small. Perfect for getting those corner lashes.

As I've said previously I prefer a plastic brush as I find them easier to use and are sometimes softer than a bristle brush.

This brush glides over lashes and you only need a couple of coats to get an amazing lengthy look.

Okay so the usual, reminder of my lashes (Don't worry I will get new pics from time to time so you don't get bored)

(Again) I HAVE NOT USE LASH INSETS OR FALSIES IN THE FOLLOWING IMAGES. I HAVE ALSO NOT USE ANY FIBRE LASH IN THE FOLLOWING PICTURES. THE RESULTS ARE FROM THE MASCARA ALONE AND NOTHING ELSE.

This mascara provides length which is what it is designed to do. It Separates the lashes perfectly. However applying to many coats can cause the lashes to stick together. So you may have to use an eyelash comb to separate them.

I would say that it defiantly works better on the bottom lashes rather than the top ones. It makes them appear a lot longer than they actually are.

I did have to use my eyelash curlers (like you do with most mascaras) to get the top lashes to curl the way they have in the pictures.

I personally love this mascara as I have done from day one of using it. It does what I want a mascara to do. It provides length on both lashes and makes they thick enough to be recognised from a distance as well as up close. It doesn't crumble when put on and doesn't 'Over' cover your lashes in mascara. Its not gloopy and the brush is ideal to get to the corner lashes.

Overall this mascara is a brilliant one and Bourjois should be proud. Not sure if this could be considered biased as I have liked this one when I first bought it.

There is a slight fault as it does take awhile to dry. So you would have to wait if you wanted to apply any other eye make-up.

So my score for this one is going to be a 9/10. It provides length and definition. It doesn't crumble or clump. The brush is a perfect size to reach all the lashes. It just needs to dry a little bit quicker to make it up to a 10.

Anyone else use it and agree? Disagree? Let me know.

Thanks for the read guys!

Review - Max Factor - False Lash Effect ...

Review Time again this time Max Factor - False Lash Effect - Bold Volume for up to 24 hours...

This is currently priced at around £11.99 in various high street stores. So quite pricey. This mascara is similar to the False Lash effect (Standard one) but is suppose to provide Volume for up to 24 hours.

The brush for this one is plastic all round. The bristles are quite soft so they don't pull at your lashes.

The very end of the brush is flat which allows you to scraped off any excessive mascara.

I love a good plastic brush and this one is good.
As usual I must show you what my eyelashes look like without mascara to give you the idea of how well each mascara works.

I have tried something different with this review as I haven't really given you any examples of what fibre lash can do for you.
So what I have done is used the Mascara solely on one eye and on the other I have used fibre lash before I have applied the Mascara to show the difference.

I HAVENT USED ANY LASH INSETS OR FALSIES IN THE FOLLOWING IMAGES.

Okay so I shall show you the results of the mascara used on its own first.

This mascara is good. I wouldn't say it gives the impression of false lashes when used on its own.

As you can see my lashes are rather scatered. It defiantly provides added length but no as much as you may have wished for.

It did help the bottom lashes with definition which was good.

I prefer to use this mascara with my fibre lash hence why I have done one eye with and one eye without.

I prefer it as it makes your lashes more straight and gives them that added length that it needs to give off the false lash effect.

This is what the Fibre lash looks like when applied. Gives length. You wait for it to dry then apply your mascara. I used step one of my Maybelline NewYork XXL Curl Power above.

I didn't use step two of this mascara only the fibre lash from step 1.

The results I got with the fibre lash were much more perfect than just using the mascara on its own.

Much more straight lashes and more defined.

The eye shown on the left (direction from looking directly at the screen) has the Max Factor mascara on Only! The eye on the right has one layer of fibre lash on as well as the Max Factor mascara.
You can tell the slight difference.
You can see the eyelashes are more straight with added volume and definition.

Its a shame that this mascara cannot provide this look by itself.

Without Fibre lash side closest
With Fibre Lash side closest.

I do like this mascara and I think it would help those out that have really small lashes. However I prefer to use it with fibre lash as I'm not overly satisfied with the length it provides on its own.

It does last a long time so I can agree with the 24 hours thing. It doesn't crumble and is easy to remove with water or eye make-up remover.

So my overall score for this mascara would be a 6/10 on its own.

With Fibre lash I would give it an 8/10. But thats not the point. Mascaras should be good on there own without the use of additional fibres (unless its double ended and its part of the mascara itself.)
